Terramar was proclaimed champion of Catalunya Interclubs Absoluto 2021 this Sunday, after winning the official FCGolf competition, which was held over the weekend at the Lakes de Infinitum Golf course (Tarragona).
Sunday’s day was decisive in the individual matches, where the Sitges club dominated the rival clubs, with 367 hits, to open a decisive gap, and prevail with a total of 516 hits. The second place went to Can Cuyàs Golf, with 531 hits, while the third place was RCG El Prat, with 532.
The club competition kicked off on Saturday at the spectacular Infinitum Golf course with 11 club teams in competition where matches were played in pairs in the Foursome Stroke Play Scratch mode.
After that first day, the best was Vallromanes1, who scored 148 shots, thanks to the couples Carles Calvo-Jose Maria García (75) and Roger Montañola-Francisco Góngora (73). Golf Terramar was only one shot away (149) with 73 from Juan Antonio Bragulat-Shila Gilon and 73 from Juan Manuel Leach-Gonzalo Macaya.
The competition was to be decided in individual matches on Sunday. And there Golf Terramar had no rival, in a great performance of all its components. They added a total of 367 hits thanks to 71 from Genis Alberti, 73 from Jorge Rubio, 74 from Erik Hedberg and Shila Gilon, and 75 from Juan Antonio Bragulat.
Faced with this barrage of brilliant cards, Can Cuyàs Golf was the one that endured the best to finish in second position, with a total of 380 in the singles and 531 in the final.
The delivery of the trophies was made by the Chief Business Officer of Infinitum Golf, Agustín García Pascual and the sports manager of FCGolf, Juan Romeu, who congratulated the winners and all the participants in this Absolute Interclubs.
