The 48th Women’s Interclubs of Catalonia kicked off the 2022 edition with a magnificent women’s golf morning on the Empordà Golf links course, with 13 participating teams.

And in this first event of the FCGolf women’s team event calendar, the first leader of the competition is Golf Terramar who accumulated no less than 15.5 points taking command of this 2022 women’s Liguilla.

For Golf Terramar they added Sola-Gonzalez, with 4.5 points, Mustera-Noguer, 1 point, Floran-Tillstrand, five points and Mateu-Pirotto, another five points for those 15.5 points and 15 ups that places them in the highest top of the classification in this first day played in the Fourball Match Play mode.

On a course in magnificent conditions and a spectacular day of sunshine and pleasant temperatures, all the teams came out ready to score on this first day of play, and after Golf Terramar, RCG Cerdaña was not far behind, accumulating 15 points and 15 ups for that second place alone. Behind, and also close to the head, the local Empordà Golf team that added 14 points and 14 ups, for the third position alone.

The defending champions, Golf Llavaneras had to settle for 6 points. There is still a long way to go, with all the players showing great enthusiasm to return to competition and they are already thinking about the second round of the calendar.

The tournament will continue precisely in our field that will host the second test of this Liguilla on February 16.
